Default Mugen Twin Loop for the RSX...

Anyone have any experiences with this exhaust system?

I am mainly interested in what size the piping is... I can't seem to find that info anywhere

I've looked at the race exhaust as well... It seems you could easily weld a flange on to attach to a standard header(sans cat).

It's a very nice looking system, but I know it would be too loud for a car street driven with any regularity...

Don't all aftermarket exhausts come 60mm for the RSX? I can't say I've seen anything smaller.

I don't think any aftermarket exhausts for the K20 engines are smaller than 60mm... but I wasn't implying in my original post that I thought the Mugen Twin loop was < 60m...

So you would (with no consideration for the cost), consider getting the Mugen Race exhaust and just use the Spoon/DC5R 4-2 header setup and call it a day?

*scratches chin* I hadnt really considered doing that... but, alas, I do have an SSR stainless 4-2-1 header on way..

JdMK20Ahatch... since we seem to be in the market (or at least doing the research on the same level components...), what exhaust setup would you recommend with the SSR header?

Perhaps I should cancel my order and go Spoon 4-2 header + Mugen 70mm Race exhaust?

Yup, it may give you some power, but damn it's ugly. Sorry to who ever has it, just personal prefrence.

the first one is the race exhuast 70mm and non-resonated....it can only be used with a jdm 4-2 header because of rules for the one make race over there...which buddy club mugen and spoon too i think all use that exhuast....

But i was saying not to cut the Mugen exhuast...u can get a spoon header but the 4-2 is $800 US IMO if u have an SSR raceheader is that the SIGMA header? If so...maybe if u want something Ginormous for flow...like if u have a ported head, u may want the 70RR from T1R or the Mugen race exhaust...the Twinloop flows great. Theres plenty of people with them out there that like it.

Im probably gonna end up getting the Race setup just because i dont want a thermal exhuast 3" and I dont care for the look of the T1R and J's Racing 70RR titanium **** is way to ballin for me. And its Mugen

The Mugen Twin loop might not be the most appealing to the eye... but it is a great performing exhaust and it is nice and quiet... it will not attract attention.

The race exhaust is about as baller as you can get... and since my car is going to have a lot of track duty, a race exhaust makes sense. But christ... I can't imagine driving on the road with an unresonated 70mm exhaust....

It'sall about prefrence. See I don't want to be too quiet.

I suppose I could also do a Spoon muffler... a la:

and just do custom piping all the way back... I dunno... I think an N1 would be way too loud... I'm really having trouble deciding.

See... my car is going to see 50% track time, 50% street time... So I don't want it to be too loud.
