a friend of mine put a jdm d15 into his 91 hatch as a replacement motor a while back, but didnt use the dual carbs that came on it. he is cleaning out his garage and im wondering how much they are worth? are they common?

 

Theyre not common. They came on the d15b4 which was sold in japan and australia (and Europe to a lesser extent). Noone likes them because theyre carbs, but the ones i had where fantastic. Not worth really selling them though.

i think most people just throw them away...but i think it would be cool to see something done with a set of those

 

those carbs came on my JDM D15B(no number and not vtec)
I have heard you can tune them to make more HP, but only at a certain rpm
being mechanical you can adj to peak at a point, but they arent as capable of adjusting to different conditions


D or M PFI has a computer the control things and makes power over a wider range of rpm

im the friend w the dual carbs. if anybody wants them they can have them. if i dont hear from anybody im just goin to throw them out. (need to make room for new junk!)
