Its now March 19 and i have a race commitment for Pinks All Out down in Rockingham, NC on April 6-7. I've been busy for the past few months and just recently have I been able to work on my personal car.
The motors are almost ready to reassemble. The Trannies havent even been popped apart, but luckily the suspension and body is staying the same till later in the season.
For now we decided to do the big items like paint before the season started because the interior and the engine bay were lookin shotty. The whole interior was stripped out to clean the carpet, fix some wiring clean all parts and then paint the carpet and inside body.
The Engine bay came apart to paint and redo some wiring and misc items for appearance.
Big thanks go out to my buddy Jeremy (dc2kid) for taking his time to help paint for me. thats one of the few things i dont know how to do on my car.
Without further ado, here are the pics. I will post more pics over the next few days with the rest of the progress.
Post #2 - Before and Engine Bay Painting Pics.
Post #3 - Interior Painting and Final Paint pics.
Post #5 - After Paint and Rear Interior/Bars Installed.
Post #20 - Wire Tucking the Engine Bay and Harness Bar Installed

Look at that pretty interior. Such a shame carpet is required.

meh, it wasnt about the time really. It was about the color of them. i didnt want to paint them black. I figured to paint them yellow so they are less noticeable and looks cleaner when the motor goes back in.
and who needs a clutch? we're going to make it an AUTO!!!! jp, it was easy to remove that pedal with the line i had without opening the system to air so i did.

Hell, take em out and hide them.
Lookin' good so far man!</TD></TR></TABLE>
meh. they were dirty. they are ugly either way. thought about changing it. but stainless lines and hardware is heavier than stock so they stayed.
its all about weight savings this season

So i decided to do a wire tuck after all since i was already in so deep and i'm sure all season long i'd be hearing "Man, you should have wire tucked..." And it'll look good
Passenger side is all wired up and ready for motor install. Looking clean.

Those wrapped wires are for the radiator fan and will get finished when the motor goes back in.

Driver's side tuck in the works. I made sure to run 2 extra wires per side for anything i might want to add in the future if need be.

Harness bar all painted and installed. Man i cant wait!!!
