Hey, so my question of the day is about exhaust tips. I have a 98 civic coupe, silver with a color matched rear lip. What kind of exhaust tip do you guys things would look decent? I am pretty much at a loss.

 

probably one of those sweet lookin pep-boys ones...JK...something big and loud!! lol

sarcasm? I was serious... look at all the threads you have made. You cant even decide if you want mirrors because they might not match. Come on man... go out on a limb and just get something because you want it

 

Hmm i guess its bad these days to be informed before you buy? I don't like spending money more than once on stupid **** like mirrors and tips, so i like to get it right the first time. I'm not a great visionary and most of the cars on ht are half way decent, so i put some faith in peoples input. I didn't ask you to build me a car, i think i've done a fair job of that myself. I don't want some ugly exhaust tip, but as most civics have fart cans i really can envision anything great. Stick to the OP, thats all i need help with.

 

im on the same boat, i have a 96 sedan, i got a 4 in tip but looks to big

 

yeah see right now i have an obx muffler on the car, im thinking im gonna get a flow master super 40, but obviously that leaves me tip less. I think it looks stupid without one but there aren't exactly alota tips out there for civics....well im sure there are a few at walmart....

apex n1 universal might look good, i had it on my EJ2. took it off and im thinkin about puttin it on my EJ8

dont scold me but you might end up having to go to wal mart and get the tip welded on

 

something not too big, maybe 2.25 or 2.5 inches in width...something low key is the best but that's my opinion.

Yeah obviously im going to get something i like but i just i cant for the life of me figure out what would look good. Most muffler shops have like oh 2 or 2.5" truck tips which i think would look a bit goofy. The walmart ones are not horrible but i cant imagine they would stay looking decent for long.

have you considered something like a magnaflow or vibrant exhaust with whatever lip you like?

Yeah as i said before that is what i plan on doing. Getting a super 40 but the whole prob. is i don't know what kinda tip would look good. Its more difficult with the civic because there is a hole in the bumper for the exhaust. Its even more accentuated with my rear lip, so i need a tip that fits right.
