Budget tires for drag racing
I can get a pair of worn 14" Toyo RA1s for $10 + price of mounting on some steelies. I really have no interested in gettings slicks and would like to save my street tires. You can still see the tread pattern, but theres really no tread left but its nowhere near the belts. I'm wondering if these will help my 60ft times and/or be as good if not (hopefully) better than running my deflated street tires on lightweight 16's. TIA

don't waste your $20+
get some 555r's if you really want to help. i get 14" 555R's for $50 a piece mounted and balanced locally. The owner of a tire shop around here sells that at/near his cost to help get his name out in hopes of "free" advertising.

Kumho v700 vitoracers are cheap and will work well for Auto-X, drag and track days.....good innvestmen, DO NOT run them on the street. Yes they are DOT legal. NO they will not last (50 Treadwear rating...good for 2k maybe)
