Is it worth getting a GREDDY EXTREME TIMING & BALANCER BELT for $180 shipped??
Like the title says Is it worth getting a GREDDY EXTREME TIMING & BALANCER BELT for $180 shipped?? or does it matter what brand and price the timing belt be?? any ideas? Help a brother out.
I think OEM is more reliable, since the OEM belt is designed by the Honda factory for the engine. Still, I myself haven't heard much about the Greddy timing belt from fellow Luders, so I dunno . . .
My recommendation: OEM.
My recommendation: OEM.
There are some that will vouch for the GReddy Belts, but some will say that OEM is sometimes better than Aftermarket..
It's a personal preference.. Someone can give you a thread that shows a GReddy Belt failing and ruining a build, but there's tons of people out there with OEM Belts that have failed also..
Personally, $180 is a bit expensive.. What are you using these on? What kind of build or is it stock??
There was a thread up a couple weeks ago about this though.. GReddy vs OEM. Trying searching a bit, you might find it...
[Shamless Plug: I have two Balancer Belts I'm selling, One Brand New and one Used. If you're interested, just let me know.]

Never seen a case where the OEM belt has failed when properly maintained
