Default Eliminating excess wiring on 89 CRX DX...

I recently purchased a 89 CRX for pretty cheap... Basically its gonna be a 90% track car. Ive got the motor pulled out of the bay right now as well as all of the interior stripped out. Im currently in the process of trying to eliminate alot of the wiring that I will not be needing. Im a perfectionist and I want to do this sh*t right. I want to keep my head/taillights since the car MAY see the road occasionally. The car originally came w/ A/C and consequently the harness for the fan and a few other unknown things... Can I just clip off the wiring for it where it begins near the firewall(for the A/C only). I just dont want to have any problems along down the line...

Ive already completely removed all of the wiring for the radio/speakers as well as for all the wipers. Also the rear defroster, and winshield washer fluid tank. I know, its just a small dent in the big picture but I hate having dangling connector all around my bay and interior. Any other ideas on what to do/dont remove for a street/track car.

Thanks guys!

im guessing this is a drag car because a road race car would want wipers and dont remove the interior fan , it will suck if your windsheild fogs up

O RLY!

Didnt really consider that(interior fan)... It'll primarily be a summer/Spring only car and will be garaged most of the time... And actually yes, I am planning on doing more of a road race setup... Why would I need wipers?

so if your road racing on a rainy\ drizzling day... you will actually be able to see with wipers...

you cn clip the A/C wiring at the firewall then unplug the conn under the dash, to be extra safe pull the #18 fuse underdash. the to run your rad fan properly the blk/yel wire from fuse #15 goes to the fan, the yel/grn from the temp sensor goes to teh fan as well. those wires will be in the head light harness connected to a relay, bypass the relay.

any other wiring you would want to remove wouldnt make much of a diference since it weighs so little, removing the A/C stuff is just for making you engine bay cleaner
