Default brand new paint!!!

hey just thought id shre this! well my car had some minor dents from a small collision and the insurence covered my shop fees! well they were only sopposed to paint the quarter panel anthe pasenger door but since the paint is so hard to match they repainted the entire car !the paint still has the galax grey color but with less of the brown in it ill post some pics u should be able to see that the grill and the plastic part for the rear plate is a little bit diferrent from the car color have to look really good! but all and all im pleased now i have a thicker clear coat so the paint should last longer!

Just make sure you keep a good coat of wax on it and you should be fine.

How exactly is "galaxy grey" hard to match??

If they can't match it, thats not a good sign. Just make sure theres no masking overspray on the weatherstip and the clearcoat is as smooth as stock. Im **** about detail.

The whole car lol! Who'd you take it to, Ray Charles? Even if the paint was that hard to make blendable they could probably just do the side or into the front door. The whole car is a little much.

Doesn't look too shabby to me.

And I doubt the resale value is gonna be "craptastic". If you do a trade-in at the dealer and they check the coat then there will be doubts, but other than that you're good to go.

Any trade in they will use a paint meter on the car and find out it's been repainted.
You also have to sign a legal affidavit upon trading in the car that its never been in an accident etc etc..

I never signed anything like that when I traded my car in.

Btw, that new paint looks good from what I see.

If I HAD to repaint my car I would have gone a totally different color just because I had the opportunity to. Should have chipped in the extra bucks and did a different color. Instead of flames here you'd prob get props for being one of the few to have gone a different color (assuming its a aesthetically tasteful color).
