Just got the call that there putting out more tegs and civics. 4 of them are itr and 4 si civics. The rest are gsr and fixed up ls with aftermarket parts. two of the itr and 1 si civic are going to the sd area the rest will be work thru the la county and san fernado vally area. Hopefully this is going to slow this bs down.
Bait cars: are vehicles that are operated by the local authorities, designed to catch car thieves. The setup is this: the park the car in a known high theft area (ie: stop at market and keys in) and the trap is set. The cars are under total survellence (video and audio) and control. When its time to make the arrest the car is remotely shut down and the door are dead bolted trapping the suspect inside and in the act.
The cars they are using are more of a tempting target for the thieves. I hope it slows them down-but as we all know we ain't the most brightest of species. We know they are are out there...yet we would rationalize that "this can't be a bait car". Want proof-just look at Datelines "To catch a predator" series

I just wish they would legalize shock sensored alarms. Just imagine someone tryin to break in your car and getting some voltage in 'em. that would be the ****.
but until then, bait cars are a good idea

never happen. My physics teacher the other day read to my class the top 15 dumbest lawsuits and ****, and this man owned a bar that continuously got broken into through the windows, so he electrified the window frame INSIDE and put up signs on each window noting they were juiced up and turned on. Dude broke in, got all effed up from some high voltage, and sued the guy. dunno how that works but whatever. plenty of dumb **** was read off that list!!

Key in the car sounds like boarder line legal. Although they didn't get the owners permission someone could argue they thought it was abandoned.
I don't know I am no law expert but is sounds fishy.
Actually requiring them to steal the car sounds better to me.

Yeah, plus, keys in the car would make it look pretty fishy to a potential thief, I'd think. If I were going through the work and putting the money into building a bait car, I would want it to at least attract thieves, not drive them away by looking too out of the ordinary.
it won't do a damn thing if they let them back out with a slap on the wrist.
eye for an eye!
if caught they should take off one of his pinky fingers...if he does it again...take his thumb...if he does it again take his whole ****** hand! and if he does it yet again....decapitation FTW!!!
