Finally did my own valve cover (just black)

Default Finally did my own valve cover (just black)

Started off with a good shaving
put bolts in place and taped off


Some coats of paint


throw it in the oven for 15 minutes @ 215° (thank you mitsuman for your DIY)


Cut off the tape, take out the 10mm bolts and slap it on good to go

thanx my first one so i kept it simple wrinckle black oem style just shaved not sure what to do on my next one. I already have a shaved glossy black one

wrinkle finish in black
FYI dont try the red one comes out looking orange
and for the more oem look just put on 2 coats

spray it wait 5 min X3
right after I put it in the oven

I did mine with kyrlon red and it didnt turn out orange. Under extreme lighting it looks orange (like while your painting it and you got the bright lights on it) it came close to the itr color and texture.

i sprayed a small aprt left it overnight at work and looked red to i just took that off and did the black was thinking of doing a darker base coat to do red
