Default 1988 CRX HF - build in progress...

Hi all, this is a thread is for my rex build. I have been working on the car for almost a year now. My buddy owns a body shop, so right when i got the car, he made it look nice. That was about 6 months ago and ever since then I have made it more then just looking nice. I just got a camera because I wanted to start documenting everything I do. Here's where I start... front spindles, lower ball joints, power stop brakes, kyb shocks, eiback springs, outer tie-rod ends and hasport axles...

now i wont break another axle (bigger hub=the ****)

you should look into getting your door handles and mirrors painted, if you get a deal from your buddy.

How can you see the door handles from the pictures.

On my crx everything is painted one color other than the mirrors. I kinda wish my trim and bumper were not painted the same color as the body.

Do you know where I can get one? I was thinking of it... I can find headlights fenders and i've seen a bumper.... but i have never seen a hood.

grog -
I kinda like the mirrors black. as for the handles......

Ahh idk. I have a extra set of handles that are not painted. I think I am going to put them on my car to see if I like it better.

Thanks man, much appriciated!!!!!

Well here's a little update... Finally got some time to take the beast to the track, I was pleased after guessing I would run low 15's...

1st - 15.248 - ran against a supra - beat it in the 60 foot!! it ran 12.96
2nd - 15.072 - beat an eg coup with b18.... ran 16.2

3rd - 15.017 - crushed - chevy ss SUV(13.5) but i used a fraction of the gas

I'm planning on breaking 15's this coming weekend after some minor adjustments!

B&M short shifter, 14" aluminum civic rims with toyo RA-1's, less gas, more octane and gutted interior... we'll see how it goes!

I'm kinda disappointed with the numbers too... I havn't had a chance to run it again... been too busy. I havn't had a perfect pass yet...

it might have something to do with the shitty touring tires (came with the fat 5's)

just passed emissions no problem. The 2 inch exhaust is so quiet, i love it.

I'm thinking of what to do next... I have a jdm b18b in my civic I was thinking of swapping over to the rex, dunno yet, gotta find some free time.
