Default will bigger throttle body without portmatching IM hurt more than help?

I was just wondeing i see alot of people with skunk2 IM with ~62mm inlets with 65-70mm throttle bodies. Wouldn't this hurt performance more than a stock throttle body?

it will be better than stock but it wont be what it should be. throttle resonse will stil increase.

there really is not point not porting the mani opening, its a very simple process that requires a dremel and 20 minutes

Well if your engine isn't too built than it probably won't do anything being as its not how big the intake opening is that determines how much air gets into the engine. It's how much air the pistons inside the cylinders can suck in. If the intake path is too large for the amount of air the cylinders can take in, then you just get a bunch of extra uneeded stagnent(sp?) air that can end up being in the way and hurting performance.

I have to agree a throttle body is okay stock, untill you are truely taking in more air, like boosted or built motors.

spend your money elsewhere. unless you truely need it, i would think it would perform better that worse without portmatching(if needed), portmatching would be better though.

well the motor is going to be 12:1. and the head is at the machine shop being ported and having a crower stage 3 cam put in as well as new valve springs ti retainers, and will have either a bisi or smsp header and 2.5" exhaust.
