batt box legality in crx ( at track)
i have a plastic batt box mounted in the trunk of my crx. to secure the batt inside the box i welded 4 threaded rods to the floor of spare tire well and used flat metal straps (2) over the top of batt and nuts to hold them down.. its solid.. but i also have the batt cut off switch on the rear bumper.. but someone was telling me that i need to have some kind of barrier between the batt and the passenger compartment.. if this is so what do i do? only idea i had was bolt a piece of sheet metal off my rear strut bar going down to the floor of trunk but thats kinda gay.. so is this needed? its just for grudge night racing and test and tunes.. no official class racing.
If your track is an NHRA approved racing facility you can look here for specific rules

No but in order to place the batt in the back you must have approved NHRA Sealed batt box. This box must be sealed and must be vented out the car. But like the other guy was saying check out the site on NHRA Rule book its tells you every thing.

The rex is still alive and kickin! Havent had her out for roughly a year. Last time out ran 10.45 @ 147 in Palmdale. Hopefully this year, finances will allow us to get to the track for more testing. I'm having those cravings again!
