f22b1 on an h22 basemap?
i had my chipped p28 set up to run an h22, but, due to a lack of funding, im going to haveto hold off on the H and run my F22 for a while. the quesstion is, can a run it on the h22 map?
they are both obd1, both 2.2L, and both vtec. im sure it would be ideal, but would it work safely for the time being? tia

I'm not sure about one working with the other but... if you have a chipped p28, couldn't you just have the chip reburned with a map for the F22B1?
true. but i dont have a chip burner or software. i could order a reprogrammed chip, and i might have to do that. just didnt want to have to buy a new chip for a short term motor setup.
personally, I would buy the burner and software rather than another programmed chip. That way you can do it all yourself later on as well, save money in the end.

you tell me if it's a good idea to run a map designed for 280-320cc injectors on an engine with 240cc injectors.

not only bigger injectors but depending on the chip the f22b1 motor wont make power where the h22a1 would make it. redline would be much higher where as the powerband would drop off if you were to take the single any higher then 7grand

i know that performance would'nt be great, but i forgot about the injector differences. i assume it would run lean as hell. it looks like a chip burner will be my next purchase. probably the moates burner. there is another on ebay that i have considered, but it looks a little um... ghetto?
(and i definately know better than to rev the F that high)
thanks for the input.
