clean crx 91, 120k on body WITH:

- b18c5 block (21k miles)
- b16 SiR head
- Tranny: (UNSURE) - prolly LS - painted back - guy said its cable /NON LSD
- 3rd gear grinds at high RPM (syncro? -- how much $$ to fix??)
-- no rust on the CRX body

5K yea, i'd walk away.
b16 head is the same cast as a ITR head just smaller cams, diff vavle train and no mild and fairly crummy port job.
Honestly I'd walk that i'd pay maybe 2k for.

Hey MAx, thanks for the input. so , only 2k? but its a clean crx body with all that b18c5/b16 stuff in it - shouldnt it be worth more? b18c5+tranny alone is like 4.5 k. OR b18c5block/b16 head / LS tranny == worse than pure B18c5? i ve seen plain b16a1 with 200K CRX body sell easy for 3.5K on craigslist.

You'd have to be sure it's just a tune up and or tuning before you gamble like that, if that motor is shot and running like butt it'll be alot more then an hour on a dnyo and new plugs to fix it.

when i bought my 91 crx si w/b16 and ys1 i got it for $3500 no rust super clean interior except for the stupid tear in the driver seat,, but over all it was a clean rex..and i have had it 3 years next month..i would not spend 5 grand on that swapped crx that you mention above...you could build you one for that much

CRX's can be found for dirt cheap around here(DC). I was going to sellmy 91 hatch w/ an LS and bolt-ons and i was only asking $1500 and no one wanted it

its sounds like a poorly done swap..LS tranny sucks...b18c5 with b16a heads...makes me wonder...97 teg axels you say??? Thats wrong. I bet its a hack job of a swap. Clean shell...Where I live there plentiful..I would say that car is still probably worth $3000~$3200 because of the b18c5 sittin in it and its a clean and running car. I could of bought a "rust free" primer crx with b16 for $1600 but it was a hack job of a swap and I walked away because I already have a crx that has a really sweet and clean swap by me and didnt need another crx but if you look around you can find a really nice swapped crx for $5k...

Only thing Id worry about with 340k on a shell is that it hasnt been in a ton of accidents and make sure the tierods and all the suspension bushings are good other than $4k sound like a fair price for that car...better deal if was a CRX instead of a HB

340K is a big concern. I bet it does have rust on it too. You just have to dig around to find the small stuff (bad bushings, panels rusting but covered with a cheap paintjob, etc.)
