Default *Help* What size tire and how low could i go with these rims???

Im looking into getting some drag 17' dr-16's
(i would rather have the rota gt3's but i want 17')

the rims are 17x7

what size and kinda of tire should i go with?

also, how low would i be able to drop my lude with these rims and tire.

looking to drop about 1.5in

....any suggestions?

Are you going just for looks? It sounds like you are. Just get a tire with "mean" looking tread.

ull be fine on the drop. i was dropped like 2.5" on 18's i rubbed on bumps but it worked. now im dropped about 1.5" on 16's about to drop another inch or so. as far as the tire. what are you looking for performance or all season? just get a brand you trust thats in your budget.

215/40/17 are what I use with the same drop and have no problems with rubbing

The BFG Gforce Sport have a very mean looking tread pattern. I mounted some on a Mustang today and I actually stood back and admired them

I would go with a 205/45/17 or 205/40/17. You can also use 215 /40 or 215/45 17 as well.

you can go about 2.5 drop and run 215.40 no problem. i've done it
