~~~ Pillowmount Dilema ~~~~
I bought a set of used JIC coilovers for my DC5, and i need to replace one of the pillowmounts because it's warped....
however, JIC quoted me $250 for just one mount, and Tein said theyre mounts wont fit the JIC's.
(Teins go for $200 for both mounts)
does anyone know of an alternative? do the Ksport mounts fit ?
JIC stopped making those coilovers for the DC5 because they had serious issues with them. I did not think they started making them again. Are these several years old? If so, not sure I'd put any money into them at all.
How does a thick aluminum pillowmount become warped anyhow?
Honestly...I hope you did not pay too much. And if the pillowball upper mount is bent, what's the piston rod like? I hope everything was tested out.
As for a new pillowmount, most of those use proprietary mounts. Probably going to have to buy them from JIC.
