Default Fit Modes

Lets hear some stories!

Many of us purchased a Fit because it's such a convenient car to own.[We surely didn't buy it for the horsepower ] The seats fold and tuck in different ways or different Modes as Honda likes to call them.

Have you carried a ton of stuff in your Fit? A month worth of groceries, 9 friends, 5 dogs, or even a spare engine? Have you spent the night sleeping in your Fit or maybe spent a weekend afternoon relaxing in Refresh mode? Lets hear your stories

With the 60% side down, I've fit 3 mountain bikes, 3 people, and 3 people's worth of camping gear for a weekend of bike racing.

I tried to 'fit' my Crafstman 5.0HP snow blower this winter in the back...

If it weren't for the handle sticking up so far, I actually would have got it to go in the whole way.

Default comparison

I own a 99 CRV and I bought it because I haul car parts for friends some times. The main thing I like about it is that I can put 2 sets of 17" wheels in their boxes (two boxes strapped to each other). It fits okay but still some fanagling is needed because of where the shock caps are. I've seen pictures of the fit having the rear seats folded down. And it seems the shock caps are not so much in the way.

Here is what I'm referring to. Can some one measure for me side to size from where this protrudes. And from the head of the seat when folded to the end near the trunk. That would help me so much.

Had both back seats down... 52 inch DLP television, a cooler, and two people with their seats reclined...
From Phoenix to Precott Valley and back, about a hour and a half each way...
Did very well uphill on the way there and was fun as hell driving back downhill, speeds of 90 mph on 40% S-turns... on stock suspension that's awesome!!1

sorry El for bringing it back up but I have to apologize for these guys that don't get the pun(maybe to advance of a pun to understand) moving on... I was able to fit four 07 camry rims and a ton of other stuff drive for about 30 miles with no problem ( meaning no sliding of stuff or anything of that sort) almost forgot I was carrying that crap in the ride!

got a couple of good stories

well first off me and my wife like going to the drive in and the Fit in refresh mode is perfect....sit in the back seats and have our feet up and enjoy the show! its actually very very comfortable sitting there through 2 movies (about 4-5 hours) so i vouch for that mode haha.

we went to a Football game and tailgated (december....San Diego Chargers vs. Chiefs) we decided me and the wife in teh Fit and the family would follow us there.....we stuffed in a grill, 3 ice chest, 2 canopies, 8 folding chairs, decent size portable TV, table, stereo, 2 propane tanks....i DO have a pic i need to find it....my brother took it and was pretty amazed haha.

and just this weekend a friend of mine need help getting DJ equipment from his house to mine for a party. 2 pretty big house speakers, Amp, 2 tool boxes, Turntables, 4 lights, light bar, 3 crates of Vinyls and 2 backpacks with wires and other various goodies.

so yeah the Fit's got room. kinda like playing tetris to make it all fit but once its in its good and easy to get it all out too since its failry low for loading (unlike some SUV's).

i wanted to be comfortable , and the fit is nice and snug, i also wanted something that you could upgrade here and there and the fit does that too!

i also wanted something that could haul around all my records and stuff when i go to clubs and raves to dj
i have hit 400 miles to the tank everytime so far , and 70- 80mph is not a problem in the car

mainly its just awsome for what it is , comfy and clean , i just got some nice speakers in it too, waiting for that damn soche deck converter thing to put in the face i like in the car, then i will be happy

my only gripe ,if it is that, is no space for subs , although i am spying the space under the passenger seats, take a gander , its not to big or small , it might fit bazooka tubes, but they dont sound all that great
