I have a new honda oil pump its all been cleaned & hot tanked and I'm not getting any oil pressure the light wont go out, gauge reads zero & there is no oil getting to the head. I have even tryed a different oil pump that I had on another motor & still nothing. what could be wrong. Im out of ideas please help!!! thanks

nope i checked that & have even tryed a different oil pick up. & also just removed the oil filter to see if oil is getting pumped to there & there is oil getting to that point. the oil pump is almost new of course but its not a honda filter Im now going to try putting the filter back off & then remove the oil sender to see if oil is getting there anything else I should try or think it could be????

are you relying only on the light and guage to make sure its not getting oil? pull the valve cover and look. could be bad sensors?

What oil filter are you using? If its fram, you might want to change it out. Either way try changing the filter.

Fram isnt shitty shitty persay. But they are more or less a hit or miss. When they work there great, when they go out they go out. It seems like this year they have been making more of the bads then the good. My friend has an oil pressure issue as well and im putting money on the filter, but havent had time for an oil change. It doesnt hurt to change filters and fix a small problem then change big problems and still have a small/big problem.

I pay $13 at Shucks (you can get it at any hardware (car auto) store) for K&N oil filters. They work great, never had any problems.. They are much better than FRAM.

Granted, it is about twice as expensive, but, to me it's worth the $$.

K&N>>>>>>Fram

Fram being a bad filter and the cause of all of your problems is another internet rumor. Although they aren't the greatest out there, there should be no reason ever for it to cause 0 oil pressure.

How did you check bearing clearances, what did you use to seal the pickup to the pump? What brand bearings, did you torque the bottom end or just good n tight it?

I know they sound like stupid *** questions but it's a start.
