Its April 6 and 7. We're going to be headed down there for the event. I dont have a motor, interior or anything in the car and the head is still in florida, but we're going to make this event!

Im registered to race! Im really looking forward to it. Only thing that sucks is it looks like Ill be driving my car down there, and I dont have a room yet.

i'm not sure completely about street wise. i know it cannot be faster than 10.0. it must be between 10.0-12.99 and you have to pick what index you will run in.

 

I picked the 11.0-11.49 index just to be on the safe side. At the time when I registered I hadnt had my car tuned yet and didnt know what to expect. Im pretty sure my car is not going to run in that category now. Its going to be slower Im guessing. plus Im going to be on street tires. Oh well, it should still be fun.

 

event is today and tomorrow. you locals should come out and watch

 

the whole thing is bullshit, but fun. i competed in the one at moroso. thier are so manny 10-9sec cars that are runnign on motor alone that they dont pick those classes cause once they have thier final cars those cars are doing a sec faster that the first 2 runs.
they want the closest cars that are consistant thats it.
the first time it was 9s, the second time it was 10s, this last time it was 11s, so who knows they might pick 12.0s this time.

they put u in a # catagory 1-50, 51-100 ect... call u up by 50s do your run.
my car was doing consistant low 10s. using high boost. went to the event going 2 use low only cause the car runs 11.0s that way. if i had stuck to the plan i would for sure been picked.
rich gave me a big thumbs up after my burn out cause they were shocked my car was runing the times it was, cause what it looks like (sleeper mode)

Hey nice car Francisco I was there today..just for info even though its too late..they dont have to be street cars. They choose the 10.5 index class. which put our 8.8et in the mustangway out haha

teaser..a honda almost won it!

 

I was there today parked right beside Francisco's super tiiiite RHD ITR. Had fun, and yes a Honda did represent us well today!!

just got back home. what a weekend it was! My car definately had lots of problems. but i ended up having fun. There was 4 hondas, maybe 5 running. my car, Travis's turbo EG, Jason's Turbo CRX, and Dustin's (I think is his name) Turbo EG. Jason's CRX did extremely well for what it was put under. I'm not going to say what all perspired, but i will go this far: We were told that this was the first time a Honda ever won anything on Pinks at all.

I'll have some pics up tomorrow.

I dunno who owned, and think you left out, the yellow hatch, the nitrous K-series CRX, and there might have been one or two others but I think I have sun stroke and want to die.

 

oh yeah. whoops. haha

and yeah, i forgot about that Nitrous K crx. and wasnt completely sure about the yellow hatch running.

it was definately nice meeting you guys. and get your Irish self some sun tan lotion next time. haha.

i agree the whole thing is bs, but it was a hell of a fun weekend... Jason from redline performance, and his team, won 2nd place, and he got himself good bit of money... we bet our famous hat on it and jason didnt loose it for us!!!! so we are happy.. kinda gay they picked 1 import out of 16 cars... but w/e, **** was fun.. cant wait till it airs

 

i think he gots 3rd/4th the mustang and the nova were the top 2

 

they were the top ones... nova and the stang.. finalist =1 runers up = 2... because either you win and get paid or loose n go home

 

Yeah, Jason is a machine behind the wheel. He would have won if it hadn't gotten cold, or if Rockingham sprayed VHT past the 330' mark where a FWD brings in all it's power.

Darius' ride as it sat w/ stock distributor looked like it would have been a sweet match up, it was super consistent and right in the chosen index. It would have been nice to have two Honduhs working their way through the ranks to meet in the middle for the $10K.

Oh, well. It was still a freaking blast, and Jason's in line for a title race on the show.
