how many miles on the body/motor? who installed it? hows the interior(if it matters to you)? ask about rust(its a ca car, but just in case)

oh yeah, when do the plates expire? he could be selling it cause he cant smog it...

what are you planning on using the rex for? track, daily driver, or ??

i know a place that will smog jdm motors so that is no problem, the main thing i want it for is just daily driving back and fourth to work and home and school and some racing on sat nights, he said the interior is good but the seats have hole in em. i just feel a little weird cuz he says it won't work tell i get a new clutch. well i don't want to buy the car and then buy a new clutch, then drive it and find out the motor is fucked up or something.

hmmm..smells a little fishy. even with a bad clutch, you should still be able to start the car up and hear the motor.

Have him put it in writing. That way if there are further problems you have something to fall back on. Sign an agreement and have it notorized, that way you are protected. To many thieves out ther to take his word for it.

dude even if the motor is fucked and the body is straight and the interior is decent the chasis should be worth about $2000

didn't see the part about the clutch, if it doesn't run, I wouldn't buy it.

around here (Ontario) 88-92 Si's are going for at least 2000US and some of them are in **** crappy @$$ condition, Honda really hold their value, but for around 3-4G you can get a SI with kit, paint, B16, exhaust, drop all the works....

Get ti but you should hear the motor start. Like having no clutch dont mean it doesnt start it means it doesnt drive.

At least hear the starter and see if ya got compression

DEFENITLY BUY IT ! offer 1700 dollars and he will accept sooner or later. if he dont then give him what he wants.

Best way to get a car cheap.

Walk around it and point out all the problems to the guy and find every little thing like stain on the seat.

After all that then offer him 1700 bucks.

Good Luck

have fun EF'ing
