I have a cheapo, my body shop got it for me to save costs, and it cracked after 2 weeks on the car, and the lines arent right, and it has molding flash on the outside, waiting till I have time to have the car doiwn for paint again and it gets a new oem bumper from Honda!

Not sure what your willing to spend or what Gen Prelude you have, but the 5th Gen front bumper is 193.36 with free shipping from http://www.hondiscountparts.com/ . I ordered some new turn signals from them and they were pretty quick about getting it to me. Something to look at I suppose.

Ive heard a lot of complaining about replacement OE bumpers from Ebay. I have a couple of friends that have purchased pieces and have had to replace them again because they cracked or wouldn't fit right. You might end up being one of the lucky ones. Who knows.

Are you getting the bumper and the cover or just the cover?

The reason I ask is because if you are getting the bumper too, and I know its not really legal, the JDM bumper is supposed to be alot lighter then the USDM one.

I saw bumper and bumper cover from password or maybe it was some other JDM site for a decent price.

https://www.passwordjdm.com/pr...D=201

out of stock so scratch that. Maybe some place else.

I got the one bumper they had. The reason the jdm bumper is so much lighter is because the bumper support is alot lighter.

I have one, my friend crashed my car and she didn't have very much money, so I told the bodyshop to use aftermarket replacement parts. Fitment isn't great. Actually, it's not even good.

Avoid it if you can.

I agree. The fitment on aftermarket OE parts = Yes they are a lot cheaper, but the cosmetics and fitment are disappointing most of the time. I actually have an OE replacement bumper, and the right side doesn't line up with the fender and headlight.. I'm thinking about getting an OEM from hondaautomotiveparts

Check on E-Bay for JDM Bumpers or cut offs..
I got one a while back which came with the Bumper, Turn Signals, and Fog Lights, for the price of just the Fog Lights at the time.. It was a great deal..

I'd sell it to you since you're not far from where it's at, but... I'm planning on using it though... My front bumper is torn up in the lower grill area..

Not to mention it's a JDM RICER BUMPER! Got it with a RED ACURA Emblem... I win!

Too bad you're not in So. Cali., I know a place where you can get decent deals on JDM bumpers, as well as other parts. I bought a bumper cover for my EG for only $70 there.
And the good thing is, it seems like the owner is not quite familiar with all the "hot" JDM parts, so sometimes you can get a killer deal on a rare part. LOL

That is a good price, I called the nearest dealership and they said $270, which is nuts and I would never pay that. Hondaautomotiveparts.com says like 179 or something but I don't know how much shipping is. I'm so glad I read this, I almost bought one off of eBay today, thought about it some, then read this.

Anyone have any experience with that hondiscountparts.com website? They have 4th gen front bumpers there for $130-$140...doesn't say if it's oem or anything though.

It turns out shipping and handling is only about $17 or so, comming from RI! So the total from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com is $197.xx.
