instrument cluster
hey whats up. was wonderin if its possible to swap out the instrument cluster from an 92 SI to an 95 SI? the 95 cluster looks better to me so i wanted to kno if it can be done. thanks.
Yes it can be done and has been done may times. The 94-96 gauge cluster is an EL gauge cluster. To make it mostly a plug and play swap you need the gauges, the inverter box and the dash wiring harness .
soo heres my dilemma:
i have an at. yes i know at is gay.. 92 si 4ws. i got an 94 EL cluster without the 4ws indicator. is there a way to take that out of my analog cluster and put it onto my digital?
also i do not have the dash harness. and i would like to splice the wires since i can't seem to find the harness anywhere. does anyone know which wires are for the 4ws indicator?
and.. did anyone fix the tripmeter problem with the EL gauge swap. the problem from what i read was that when shutting off the car, the trip meter would reset. anyone correct this problem?
