2007 Civic 4D/LX wheels 15" upgrade to 16"/EX or aftermarket 17"
How can I upgrade the LX wheels to EX 16" or aftermark 17"? Do I need to chang the the rear break system to disc? LX has break drums for the rear wheels. Can I do it by myself? Thanks!
You do not have to modify anything in order to put different wheels on assuming the new wheels are the correct lug pattern and offset.
Here is wheels I plan to buy
HONDA HFP 17"
Rim Width: 7J
Rim Diameter (inches): 17
Offset: 45
Number of Bolts: 5
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 114.3
What should I do next?

What tires are you going to get?
Next mod should definantly be a drop
anytime you put larger wheels on a stock car its going to look lifted/goofy so lowering it is necessary... not to mention better handling is always a plus

How cheap it is 16" wheels like EX ? I want a set of four. But I don't know how to replace them. Do I need change the rear drum to disc? Do you have some guide I can follow. I really want to do it by myself.
Park car on flat surface.
Break lug nuts loose.
Jack up car at specified jacking point(s).
Remove lugs.
Remove wheel.
Mount upgraded wheel and tire combo.
Loosely tighten lugs.
Lower car.
Torque lugs down to specified settings.
I'm sure you can find more detailed instructions on the internet or in your owners manual. If you honestly cannot grasp the concept youre better off dropping the car off at a tire shop and letting them take care of everything.

You don't know how to change a tire? What if you had a flat in the middle of nowhere?
And no, you don't have to change it to disc brakes.

Take it to a wheel shop
pay them to swap the rims
and have the installer SHOW you how to change the tire in case of emergency.
