Default Need Help Power Window Removal!

well i really got a good deal on getting power windows and door locks, but i have to rip it out myself. i haven't really ripped out power windows before, so i want to know some guidelines, wire locations, fuses, relays and some safety tips on taking out the power windows (if i should remove the power window regulator up or down). the power windows is from a 94 civic ex coupe and its going into a 93 civic si hatch. thanks for the help in advance!

idk about a 5th gen civic, but i'm donig power windows on my 6th gen. Things are pretty straight forward. If you doing only the windows then getting what you need is pretty basic, everything that's on the door except the door itself and the glass.
which leaves:
window regulator
lock and acutator(not the keyhole, but part that grabs the door to the car)
door harness
door panels w/ trim peices
and if you wanna put in the work now so that you don't have to do custom wiring later, get the floor harness that runs from the driver to passenger side and whatever fuses and relays related to the power doors. You'll most likely have to take off stuff like seats and panels to get the harness but you'll have a clean install unless you like doing custom wiring.

as for tips, the window is removed in the down position, there's usually holes for you to stick a socket into and unbolt the glass, removed and install the glass using something to protect it from the metal door, like a towel, just let it hang on exsposed metal part of the door. Search around and you'll most likely find a post about what relay is for the windows, fuses are self explanatory, they're labeled on the fuse box cover.

thanks for the helpful post. i have searched and all i really wanted to know is where the floor harness and how to take off the power window safely, and the other things were just self explainatory. so for the harness i have to take out the seats and the panels (would i be able to follow the wires and be able to take it off easy?). do you have a picture or maybe tell it in words on how it runs in the car. i'm going tomarrow to do this and hopefully it doesn't take more than two hours to take it all out.

if your good and have some help, it should be around 2hrs, mainly b/c your just removing and nothing more. For the floor harness start from the driver side, that's where most of the business is at, then follow the wires to the passenger side.
