Believe it or not some people actually make relatively good power with their honda, but I can understand how this might be a foreign idea to the average poster in 92-00 Civic forum, so why don't you just give him the benefit of the doubt before you go accusing him of lying.

Because someone with a 500+ hp motor doesn't **** up the installation of a simple throttle body due to ignorance.

He's not making 500 jack-****. He's probably some ricer with an I/H/E B16 and figured that the massive TB would give him more power . It also seems like the lie he told is causing him a crisis of conscience - as per his wording, "well i could say 500+ hp motor needs it."

Context clues and the human psyche. For the win.

Well I guess you have a point there, I just felt like people were jumping on his case a little too fast. You're probably right.

This thread is a classic demonstration of the worst of HT. Bunch of jealous haters deflecting the topic in order to criticize someone you don't even know. This thread is about the quality of the product. It's not "I put a big tb on my engine and now it bogs in the low RPM and doesn't peak until after the fuel cutoff". His application isn't in question. Whether he's making 101whp or 500whp, that doesn't affect the tps or the butterfly clearance. HOW DO YOU INSTALL A TB INCORRECTLY CAUSING A TPS FAILURE OR CAUSING THE BUTTERFLY TO GRIND??!

My advice to you is to search the internet for a better forum with true DIY enthusiasts who help each other out instead of defending their dear brands and trying to tear each other down.

Grow the expletive up, retards.

You better slap the big one back on... . might blow the welds on the intake manifold....

buy a 65mm edelbrock and then get it overbored by JG...they come with TPS sensors that are calibrated already...i had a skunk2..it was junk(my opinion and experience) havent had any problems with the edelbrock

the correct size TB to use would be one that matches or is smaller then what the intake manifold inlet will allow. at least thats what i would assume. and 70mm is deff. overkill for any honda with the exception of a full racing car. and if your car was up to that level, you would have the right amount of knowledge to fix ur problem without comming on H-T.

now if you searched, a common problem for aftermarket TBs is the sticking or grinding as you call it. with a little scotch bright pad and some elbow grease, this could solve that problem.

i bet he would get different and more enthusiastic answers if he would post a picture of his car and tittle it "WHAT COLOR?" a then this thread would be full of useless **** like most ht is, have you guys not notice that usually the "longer threads more helpful" are what color which of this which of that and then when some one post something acutlly worth knowing all the 'tards here just bash on them his TPS is messed up it doenst matter if its 1000mm or a 2mm t-body or v4 engine(oh yeah i now its inline for morons that are gonna mention it)...

so just help the guy out dont bash or type useless remarks

You're a hypocrite! That whole post was useless and made little sense to me!

OP: There's something up with your TPS. There's a way to adjust it but I'm just not sure how to do it. Try that before giving up on your $300 paper weight!

shows how smart you are you must not have to many friends into serious racing scene. as someone that takes the racing to the limits like some and have a brain i ask questions get input from others then work my ideas in then come up with something . no one comes up with every idea by themself . with all the smart *** remarks ive been getting here clearly shows most of you guys are street racers with little or no knowledge of true to the sport
