does your track suck or something? how do you launch higher on the street then track?

 

for some reason the tires seems to slip more on the track
then again, it did rain in the morning, we got there at 8pm
left over rubber from other cars i guess
there was 2 civics hitting 9s there at the time

 

Even when I was on street tires, launching higher got me better results.
I don't have much power though, so maybe that's it.
I launched at 6100 to get the best times, 20 psi in the tires.
5000 gripped better, but bogged and hurt overall time.

I have energy motor mount inserts and front conrol arm bushings.
Got some wheelhop, but not alot. It was all in the tires.

 

6100 is way too high for me
even if i rolled off the line normally at the track and floor it at 6000 going what...15-20mph i still loose traction
stock tires are awful
its like driving on ice

 

you got a point ... lunching our car at such a high rpm makes us lose traction way to easily ... when my tires were bout 22 psi my tail would slide forward before i grab and move forward ... maybe thats just me

 

personally i launch at about 5200 rpm's and this is on all seasons at around 25psi. just play with the clutch some more at the track. im hitting 2.1 60fts now on these tires at that rpm on a basically stock motor

6000 rpm on hoosier drag radials. The car hooks up instantly.

Yep they fit on the stock 16's

i launch at about 5000 rpms on 12 psi at the track on nitto neo gen tires and i hook up great
