a 99 civic ex with the d16y8 engine...

when i gas... the brake light on the dash comes on... it'll stop blinking again after about 2 seconds i let off the gas... turns back on when i hit the gas (one second delay) it almost looks like it's displaying a CEL... but the CEL light does come on... and the actual CEL does work like normal... turn key to "on" without starting engine.. and it'll "click off" after like 6 seconds... what's wrong with the car?

 

Your brake fluid could be low, and as you're accelerating, it's sloshing away from the float. My girlfriend's car was doing that until we replaced her pads and got her fluid flushed and topped off.

thz a lot guyz... i was thinking about the same thing... but i saw the brake resouvior* between low and high... so it thought it could be something else... cuz it comes lit in such a consistent manner

if anyone else know of a possibility for something else plz tell me cuz i'm deciding should i buy that car...
