I want to put headers and exhaust on my 97 accord, but i know the only kind of tailpipe that you can get with them is about 5 inches in diameter. I would want to get an exhaust system and put this muffler on instead: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

Attached to the exhaust and header would this dual muffler do any significant changes to power (as in loss of power)?

 

you can pretty much use any muffler you want as long as the piping diameter is right with your exhaust system.

go ahead and pick up the header and if you want that ebay exhauust buy it and get custom piping done for it. you can either order the pipes and do it yourself from http://www.kteller.com (i think he has discounts for honda-tech members, not 100% sure) or go to your local muffler shop and talk to them about fabing something up for it.

now to get to ym opinion...

that muffler is ugly as hell, and the gains will be minimal probably and all DTM dtyle mufflers i heard on hondas sound like ****.

i would recomend picking up a quality cat-back or the very least a quality muffler and fabbing up your own piping to save some money.

 

I had a muffler just like that on my accord before i got my megan racing muffler and they sound very close to the same. Decently deep, But i warn you, i bought it off of ebay and it leaked and made a turbo noise after like 2-3 weeks of wear.
