Why not just add a antenna to the car. You can add one of these. The metra 44-ua20 or the 44-uag10b. There are a couple more but these will suit you better.

these are power ant that mount inside the car for a stealth look. And they work great.

I always thought about remounting my antenna completely inside the A pillar and shaving the antenna hole when I get the car painted, but that hideaway might be a better option.

Since they're inside the car, they're probably going to receive less than the OEM antenna on the roof...

And I don't think Best Buy carries them.

They do, however, carry a universal rubber duck antenna that you could stick in the dash somewhere... I think they were like $12.

I have one in the gsr that everything is shaved, And it works out great. You haave to remember that they are powered by 12 volts. Just make sure you wire it to your remote out so it does not run 24 hours

UPDATE: i bought the second best option (rubber duck at best- buy 15.99)

it plugs right into my alpine deck however, would i get a static/ bad transmission if i just stuck it under the dash somewhere?....

You will get less reception, in fact you are already getting less the you can if the ant. was mounted, but it will work, not as well as the "powered" ant.
http://www.scosche.com/scosche...D=WMA
Windshield mount ant. like the above and the others mentioned are "amplified"
and work very well, as good or better then stock.
I have installed 100s of these over the years in all sorts of cars, they have always performed very well.

I doubt if you get good reception with it under the dash.

glad to see it worked out... even though the electric power one would come in a little cleaner.
