i have a modest set up and i have some 440's from when i wanted to go turbo, would these be better to sell and get some 310's or something around there or could the 440's work, or just stick with stockers, heres the run down

i think he may have been referring to me using a vafc? i took this into consideration before i bought the unit. the problem is that getting hondata tuned for me would include trailoring my car 2 hours south or here to get it tuned at king motorsports. where as theres a shop in appleton that can dyno tune my vafc and its much closer

I was thinking the same thing, then I scrolled down
. Then sell that vafc (junk)

You will have to pull so much fuel out of the vafc to get the 440's right it will be rediculous with yout timing. Trailering the car is better than wrecking your build man.

the 440's would just be a failsafe, not that i need them. i just dont want to max out my stockers while im at the dyno.

440's are okay if you plan to use crome, hondata or the like. Or a full stand alone fuel system.
440's are a no no with a 1.8 and a vafc.
use 310's if you plan to keep your vafc

Agreed. VAFC only lets you adjust fuel trim, which is a very broad form of tuning for your fuel needs. It's ok for cleaning up afr's I guess, but the real power comes in being able to change injector pulse width over a more precise range.
Which brings me to this: 440's should work fine, but you'll probably run hella rich, due to the fact that your computer still thinks you're running 240cc injectors. The amount of fuel dumped by an 240cc injector with 3ms of on time is going to be significantly less than the amount dumped by a 440cc with the same on time.
The fuel trim adjustment is basically hacking the signal telling the computer it needs to run richer (+1 to +7 or something), or leaner (-1 to -7). So the computer will act accordingly. Standalones will allow you to use a multiplier for the injectors, so that the injector duration is modulated accordingly.
