what does an EXHAUST LEAK sound like?
Sounds like a tapping/clicking sound when accelerating, you can hear it better from outside the car... have someone drive ur car while your watching or have someone rev it up
you'll hear air coming out of the piping somwhere...anywhere BESIDES the exhaust...if you seafoam your motor, you'll know you have a leak because it'll smoke like crazy from there.

first, read up on seafoam ....it'll smoke while pouring into the booster line vacuum going into the manifol...

thats exactly how it sounds, its annoying because i just used high temp. silicone on all my gaskets / seals...
im gonna have to tear everything apart tommorow and find the leak, is there a special product that will seal it better?

one of the plugs for the 02 sensor came out from my down pipe on my headers (due to not tighter than finger-tight).. It sounded extremely loud and acceleration was not so good. It was very raspy and about 4 times as loud as an apexi cat-back exhuast.
Depends on where it is.
If it's a manifold cracked or something like that then you might try JB Weld, but then again it might just be a gasket from where some of the flanges connect.

yeah i only have 3 gaskets within my whole entire exhaust (including head)... im gonna try and use some different product besides the high temp silicole gasket.
any reccommendations on gasket sealant?.... or does nobody make it.

Go buy some gasket material from an autoparts store. I actually have 2 carboard exhaust gaskets that have been working for over a year now.

I like to describe it as a weedwhacker on meth. Or at least that's what my car sounds like currently. I think more exhaust exits the car between the cat and B-pipe than comes out the muffler tip.

idk, im assuming it couldnt hold the pressure from the header to CAT connection... it may be too flexable and somehow the exhaust might have gotten by.
ill check with a parts store and get some gasket material then ill update the thread to see if it will work or not, it just seems like an on going problem.
