Default 6th gen tyc's (cutoff pics)

my oem headlights were in pretty rough shape, so i got some new ones.

they've been sitting in my room for a while now, but the weather is a little better so i put them in.

sorry for the bad pics, but i think everyone knows what tyc's look like.

got the tyc's cause i like the projector style and i figure it will be easier to do hid if i ever decide i'd like it and i found some on ebay for $150 shipped (new).

here's the cutoff.

from in the car on the dash:

and here's one from in front of the bumper about 6" off the ground:

how does that look?

is there any way to adjust them?

after reading this:

http://faqlight.carpassion.info/hl-aiming.htm

and a little on projectors/hid, it seems that it might be pretty good.

a little lower to the left and higher to the right, and no bad "hot spots".

what do you think?

Nice headlights. I just ordered some TYC tail lights and I put my JDM projectors in yesterday. I love them. But, the cut off on my projectors isn't that low. Mine seem to be up high, but that way there I can see a lot more and they seem to be way brighter.

yes, you have to take the hard black covers off that are covering the low beams. to do so you need a philips screw driver. once there off (drivers side is a huge PIA if you have the stock intake ) you can use that same philips screwdriver to adjust them (there are two adjustment screws on both sides).

EDIT: i put mine on a 6th gen coupe with a V6 i believe yours in a sedan right? and if you have the 4cy your is probably easier to adjust due to more space in the engine bay

did you use the stock projectors for HID?

i do have a 4cyl, but i don't think there's much room. i'll have to check it out later.

Yeahp, all i did was buy an HID kit from https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1847971 (highly recomended, purchased three kits with no complaints, and you cant beat next day delivery )

here is a pic of my 6000k kit installed in my low beams, and a 6000k kit installed in my fog lights (also a good mod IMO)

EDIT: if your wondering where my cutoff is, it gets washed out by the fog lights

woo hoo, went around the backside of walmart and adjusted them properly.

with the airbox out (i have SRI) there was plenty of room on both sides to adjust the lo beams

i think i have them setup properly now. i had to lower them both and aim the passenger side more to the right.

i also adjusted the hi beams (which were a bit harder to access). the drivers side was pointing off into space

i wasn't sure where they were supposed to be aimed, so i put them directly ahead and a lilttle higher than level. they seem to light up the road very well now.

i like them! much better output (hi and lo) than my tarnished OEM headlights.

i know TYC makes an HID kit, its their headlights with SPECIAL PROJECTORS DESIGNED FOR HID's bundled with a Philips D1S 4300k kit. they promise a BMW like cutoff..

everything is plug and play and i believe it comes with a new windsheild washer tank to add more clearance. they JUST DISCONTINUED THEM too... im SOOOO pissed.

this is for the EG civic tho..im not sure if they make it for you guys. but just leting you guys know they do make stuff like that SPECIALLY for hid's. and comes with a compliance card saying their DOT approved. (cuz as we all know, HID's in a car that wasnt factory is illegal =/ ) but their kit is.

if someone wants to, call them up and see if they offer them for accords too. i dont see why not. all they'd have to do is swap the projector and give you the philips kit with it.

ive seen them go for about $550 shipped...

great deal IMO for quality, LEGAL, plug and play stuff..

Hey are you lowered? What are you using? I'm considering either H&R (OE) Sports, normal sports or Eibach ProKit for our other car which is a 98 EX-L sedan.

Added: BTW how much did those TYCs cost you? My wife wants Xenons in her car too....lmao

i am not lowered

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2357470

i was planning on getting a pro kit, but i think i'm just going to want to go lower down the road.

now i plan on getting tein s-tech and tokico blue (hp) shocks. that's about 2.0/1.7 drop.

i got my tyc's on ebay for ~$150, but i think the seller had a limited quantity and now i don't see any for that price.

Well, I tried to put Xenons into my wife's car and low and behold....I found out the previous owner messed up. The bulbs were inserted at an angle and now nothing fits right in there. When I took out the passenger side bulb there was, a "bubble-like tumor" on it. I put in my old yellow ones in for temporary.

i didnt understand your english much...but in my 2000 accord's tycs' the low beams are projectors, and the highs are reflectors, hence there not in the same spot.

OK, so what's the clear lens for to the outside of the low beam? Also is the amber one a turn signal? Just want to clarify, no need to be harsh...
