Power steering....it shakes...putting it back together...why? Is it supopsed to?
I have a 1996 Civic dx 2dr coupe...and i just put my power steering back together...cuz some work had to be done there, but im not sure if there was a rubber there or not.... There were 2 bolts and nuts on the u clamp...and everything is tight and put back together...but when i lock the steering wheel wether at its highest or lowest...i can still shake it minimaly up and down and it makes a little hitting soudn...makes me think there was a little rubber there always....what could be the problem..
anyone here have a civic they can run down to and shake their steering wheel up and down and see if its moveable even when locked lol in a 1996-98
EDIT: heres a picture
was there a rubber thingy there or am i doing something wrong...
