why do you want a SPOOM engine , you could be a complete type R swap for 5500
then do a few things and walk all over a spoon engine

hmmm it came to a dea stop from 140, so something was wrong, then it was smoking reallly good comeing back, but NO it was all a trick because he then runs from the cops in it

be ready to pay a good amount for these crate engines.
IMO, high-maintenance type of engines.

they are race engines, no knock sensor, high rpm, high strung, they aren not meant to last for 100k....but it would be fun

 

if you have money and know what you are doing get your own b18c5, toda cams, custom pistons, balance the **** your self and then from there do waht you want. spoon is a waste for street use.

 

without installation and obd2 to 1 conversion

 

Spoon engines are race only.

The bearings are loose for more HP to the wheels.

They need to be rebuilt very often........

Not reliable.

Go B18c5 or B20Vtec

 

True that, for $10,000 it better do more tan manage my God damn fuel, it better at least manage my vtec too

Hey guys dont forget the part when the owner of The Racers Edge is being interogated by the asian racers because they dont have the "SR22 that would pull a pretty penny" so they can slap them in the Honda Civic AND Integra they are pointing at. hehe...

 

its not failure....its just fact of the motor, spoon "RACE" engine are very high strung, since they rev to gezzus i think like 12,000 rpm, and in order to do that they have to change certain tolerances, like bearing clearances and what not so that they can create the rpm and the power out of it, they just wont hold together for long term, but you can try it just change out certain items like pistons rings and bearing but then why buy it in the first place

last time i checked a skid mark it was just a black streak, and you can tell it apart from a toyo or a yokohama(which are more likely in the stret racing scene)
