You may have to pull up on the hood while somebody else releases the latch from inside. After you get it open again you should adjust the latch position so that it closes smoothly. Either that or the spring is getting worn out or is misadjusted.
or try having someone pull on the latch while you bang on the hood
..thats how mine is lol

I'd start by jacking the front of the car up and pulling the front bumper cover away from the car at the bottom. Then reach your hand up there and tug on that there latch. Might have to fish with a coat hanger or something.

In the bottom right corner of the latch you can see a fork. That holds the outter sheath of the cable. The inner cable would then continue straight to what looks like that square tab. Move that tab towards the fork.

The cable goes the other way around. All you should have to do is move the latch on the left hand side of your picture to the right until the hood pops.
it doesnt movE lol

Move part "A" towards part "B" to open hood.

Then connect the cable stop to part "B" and the ball end of the Cable to part "A" and you should be golden. I would recommend popping hood and then removing latch and re ataching cable and reinstalling latch mechanisum.

You have it backwards! Route the cable in from the other way, the ball hooks into the latch on the left. Or you could just open it by pushing the latch in the direction higgunscrx showed you.
haha damn man, maybe you should just take this to the dealer.
I've never known anyone to have faught so much with a hood latch.
The ball has to slide into the retainer, similar to how your throttle cable attaches to the throttle body. Is the retainer broken? If it is, then you need a new hood latch. Look the latch over pretty good before posting more pictures. Make sure that it looks right. In other words, inspect it.
