Default 91 CRX DX is spudders when accellerator is pressed

The car had been sitting for about one week and when I start the car it sounds okay. But, when I press the accellerator it spudders and does not have power. When it is moving and when I accellerate it spudders and jerks a little. Could it be the spark plus? I have a oil leak and may need gaskets/seals? Please help...

I doubt it is the spark plugs. That sounds to me like your fuel filter is probably plugged up.
It is located under the car, on the drivers side, in front of the fill tube. My guess would be that it's just plugged up over time and sitting for a week let whatever junk was in the fuel tank settle out, and then get sucked up and into the fuel filter. If you replace it, it will probably run fine.

Thanks gp70hs, I appreciate the response. I called my mechanic and he told me that it could be the ignition wires. Guess what, I replaced the ignition wires and my CRX is back!!!!!!!!! I thought it would cost me a fortune. This is a great sight thanks.
