Default 1900lbs (w/ driver) crx +160whp = possible 12's?

I know most people hate bench racing; but, I can get my hands on a gutted 88' hf and was wondering if a 1900lb (w/ driver)crx had the potential to run 12s providing good driver and traction (slicks and motor mounts)

yes, it is possible. But more likely to run low 13's

gearing? motor? I'm assuming the z6-T. Feasible, but it will be close. Maybe if the 60 ft is under 1.8, that should make it close. Only one way to find out.... the right way! Run that ****!

If it was 160whp and 99wtq i doubt it. If it was 160whp and 120wtq i can see that happening. Gearing is a factor. Torque curve and powerband is a factor. Driver ability is another factor. I say take your car to the track and find out.

I think I'am going to try it. It will be my allmotor d16z6 should have about 160whp and ~125wtq. It will probably be summer time though before it is ready

thanks for the support. There are a couple guys on d-series.org that are making 150-160whp+ with simular setups.

most of my inspiration comes from doing something different.

i think you will need one hell of a 60' time.. i could see mid 13's possible low 13's if youre a badass driver..

i seen a 88-91 hb with a lsvtec with 180 whp running 12.8-9 on slicks here in fl. he has a b16 tranny and lsd not sure of the weight of the car though. it was completely gutted and cage.. i assume it would be close to 1900..

there is my .02..... goodluck

set your suspension up well....
