Results of rear lip/ mudflaps install :]
Thought I'd share the results of my accord rear lip/ prelude mudflaps install.
I saw someone else on the forum with the same setup but didn't like the way the mudflaps were mounted.. it didn't look quite right and the cut was too rough.
So I just popped the mudflaps under the lip and drilled some new holes to accommodate the now lowered mudflaps.
All in all, took 30 minutes, 4 new holes drilled for the lips, 2 holes drilled for each mudflap, as well as a couple of zip ties to secure them firmly. :]
Sorry for camera phone pix!
EDIT - Oh and wheel wet spray is GREAT for making black plastic trim look like new!
EDIT EDIT - Also, you can kinda see where the mudflap used to sit in the first picture, where the dirt outline is. Need to wash car.

Haha .. cleared out your plate in 1 pic, but left the other open.
Where did you get your Accord rear lip at ? Also, I don't see any cuts in the middle piece .. did you just bolt up the whole lip to your rear bumper without any problems ?

....mud flaps

very nice, I was looking around for a black 4th gen that has this done and it finally popped up lol. very clean looking, I was thinking of using the accord rear guards but this looks perfect with the lowered prelude guards. now the only thing I'm torn between is what front lip to get, but I'll worry about all that stuff after I fix my oil-pissing problem friday finally
ps. did u flat-black/bumper coat the rear lip, or is that the original finish?
ps2. hmm, I wonder what the oem accord front lip looks like, off to the search button!

Thanks for all the compliments!
AmauryR: It's the original finish. It looked pretty old and dusty because I took them off my bro's beat up 95 accord. A hose and some tire shine fixed that up nicely :]
joinerneal: I've been driving for a few days and it still looks fine. I think it's because I didn't just spray the tire shine on directly; I sprayed onto a rag and wiped on a thin layer.
shaylude: I got the flaps from honda dealership. $35 :]
JDM.Brown: *shrug*
street_ride14: Yeah I know, I forgot to clear out the plate. But eh, too lazy to open up photoshop again. I got the lip off my bro's beat up 95 accord. Honda wanted $120 for all 3 pieces!!
Zip ties were used because the inside bolts for the flaps didn't line up to anything in the wheel well; it was just kind of suspending. So I zip tied it to the nearest hole with heavy duty ties and it works fine.
And yes, the flaps cover up the cut that you need to make to the ends of the lips.
And here are some chops showing where new bolts were drilled and where cuts were made:
Hope this answers some questions.
