i have a hard time making my 91 si with b18c in it. It is a 96 jdm b18c which is obd2. It has an obd2 distributor and im using an obd1 usdm P72 with Rywire obd0-obd1 kit. I modified the distributor wires and they are correctly wired. No check engine light is on. New fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, new roter cap. The symptom is when it is idling in neutral it is fine. But when i actually put it in a gear and let the clutch go, rpm doesnt go up and the engine dies. Some people say it is a ground problem, some people say it is a vaccume, some people say gas and air ratio, and the others say something is up with the distributor. One more thing when it is in the reverse it runs good. the eigine doesnt die. Help Meeeee!

 

have you checked the compression on each Cylinder?

Could also be a wiring prob, you should run a obd2-obd1 harness and run a kenji chipped p28.. thats what i did in the past

Did you re-wire your ecu or anything?
