Don't you have to cut up the console to make it fit though? Don't you also need to use the 4th gen shifter plate/bracket and shift cable also?

I've been waiting too and have thought about just buying the 4th gen shifter but I've read some bad things about it....like chopping your console

Did you have to do any of this? Cause if that is not true then I will totally consider it.

i cant talk about the 5th gen but when i put it in my 4th gen you have to trim back the plastic under the console. when you go to 5th gear it will hit it. but its no biggie. you can even see were you have to trim the plastic back because it is under the console. but as far as bad things i have had no problems with it and i like it a lot. highly reccomend...

yeah, i just installed my FM shortshifter and plate.
the plate looks really clean.

but im havin some issues with the shifter.

and yes, you gotta trim the inside of the console. but not alot just so it doesn't hit the console when you put it in 1,3,5

Its still the next project on the plate. I've got someone who is interested in the business that might help me make some things happen. We'll see.
