Default front end conversion for the eg

man i've been posting this everywhere. hopefully i'm in the right place now. lol. anyways to the point- i'm thinkinng about doing a front end conversion for my 92 civic. i currently have a gsr motor in it right now and is going to be doing an integra dash swap w/ 98+ integra steering wheel. i want to change my front end rather having it stock.(nothing wrong with stock look by the way). i was thinking about doing a jdm itr front on my eg if not den a 90-93 front, kinda da same n a way, and i just wanted to see some pics if anyone has em before i even get into the project. thanx

Umm, I wouldn't do that if I was you. And you better be prepared to get flamed extensively for asking. EG's look good as-is. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

ugh! This is such a bad idea.

For your information you dont have an EG you have a EH, unless u live in japan or imported an eg6 over. I dont know where all these kids get the idea that they think they have an EG.

Then SEARCH, mf'er. You are on the wrong forum for these kinds of questions.

I did this back in 2001

Reason why:

Front end conversion for $7,000. That included new body panels, paint, and all the custom work to make it all fit. They had to add metal to the fenders and hood, as well as cut some areas away. Fabricate a whole new radiator support bracket, and fabricate the top half of the bumper.

Radiator support:

I have a new EG, and I wouldn't do it again.

^ don't you just have the headlights tho? That looks good. We all know he probably wants a full itr or something front end. These noobs are the types of kids that make it hard to defend my car to the muscle heads. Why can't you buy a camaro and put a front end conversion on?

1) Sell the EG
2) Leave the Honda scene

To make my post valid: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1655274

BTW > 7k (for conversion) + profit from GSR swap = K power

You already got a solid answer from me. Use the search key, I'm not going to do it for you. Don't come back with an attitude because you failed to create a valid thread. You probably shouldn't post until you learn how to use this site and it's features. There are a couple of hints and tips for you. Utilize them.

What's a "converstion"? It's your spelling that gives you a bad rap.

Like I said, I wouldn't do it again, and it was done in 2001

STI- that car looks pretty nice, but it sounds like this guy wants to put the hood-fenders, bumper and what not. Yours looks simple just headlights (even though probably put a few other things to make it fit).
But to OP- eg fronts look fine, if you dont like it sell it- get a DA teg, or save up and get a jdm itr, dont make your car look like something totally different. either way if you do it- post pics lol.

I wasnt saying your car gives us a bad rap. I meant what he wants to do does. Sorry should have been more clear to who it was directed to. I like the headlights only. it looks as if it was suppose to be there.

theres only one conversion i like and thats the 92-95 civic front end on the del sol. thats what they should have did from the factory.

$7,000 ain't bad considering it's all new OEM body panels, and tons of hours of custom fabbing. Custom support. I wouldn't do it again. and, I'd spend that money on a K-series if that happened this year. The K-series wasn't readily available back in 01. Also, I wasn't expecting it to cost that much, I told the shop $3,500 was my limit.

Understood now, my bad I overreacted. I like the EG Del Sol too.

I agree that a full JDM front doesn't look right.

ok since da jdm dc2 front is off the topic. does the 96+ civic front end directly bolt up to the civic hb? or is there going to be modifacations?

it doesn't bolt up, and it won't look right. Can you post a pic of your car?

Why are you so pressed to do a front end conversion? the 96+ looks horrible on a 92-95, the front end is to big for the rest of the car. The jdm teg front end is to long for the 92-95 as is the usdm teg front end.

^^^Exactly. Don't ruin your car. If you don't like the front end, get something you like better.
