Visor?
Has anyone had any troubles with the sun visor? Yesterday, I was on my way home from work and I pulled visor down and to the left to block the sun. When I get home I park the car and push the visor up and notice that its falling down by itself. When I inspect it, the plastic around the visor had opened. I tried snapping it back in place but to no avail. So I just took the visor off due to not being able to see that well while driving. I love the car and all but the interior quality is very poor. Very disappointed!

the interior quality is not poor
the VISOR quality is poor, it was a common problem on the 06's
Just bring it to the dealership and it will be replaced.

Hmm what was the point of posting that picture? From the pic, it looks nicer than the civics. I guess I'm blind to as the spot you're talking about. However, sitting in a used cobalt with less than 2k miles and seeing all the crap already going on with it gave me some insight on how crappy it is.
But.. the quality interior in the honda COULD be better. The bottom of the doors kill me.. shouldn't of been such soft plastic, mine has so many scuffs on it despite me getting out carefully.

You have to be absolutely kidding me
the ergonomics and design of the cobalt or hell ANY american car interior are strictly 1980's... the double tiered cluster/tach combo... center console trim NUMEROUS cubbies... suede seats etc etc
I could go on for days...
also before u reply...
Have you ever actually SAT in a cobalt , like pictured above.

I sat in a new cobalt last summer when buying a car. Was it that one specifically? I don't know.
I never said the balt's interior was better. I KNOW it's shittier than a civic's. I'm just saying the point of the picture (IMO) didn't do your point justice because... the picture makes the interior look better than ours (again, my opinion). You can refute this all you want, but I think we all know the plastic on the doors in our civic's kinda suck.
Again, I sat in a cobalt and I know the interior IS junk. Just that picture doesn't make it look bad at all. Some people hate our digital dash. Just a matter of preference.
Oh and no - I'm not absolutely kidding you.

The picture clearly justifies his point and shows how ugly/tacky/cheap looking the interior of a cobalt is...
Maybe this will clarify things for you....
CLEAN, ergonomic, quality, comfortable, different, stylish interior:

UGLY, generic, cheap, tacky, stereotypical interior:

Granted a lot of it comes down to opinion and I can respect that but the picture mike posted definantly makes the cobalts interior looks like ****(because it is)

That's my point. How can you tell it's generically cheap and whatnot? For all I know, that's high-grade materials in there (we know it isn't). But you can't rule that option out from looking at a picture. Again, ugly is subjective. It's not innovative in the least, but it looks "good enough" to me. People don't like our interiors, and we like them. It's the same thing with the 'balt.
That's just the thing I love about the new civics. The interior is innovative, new, fresh, etc. Some like it, some don't. Same with the cobalt.
Anyways, further posts from me in this thread would be pointless. This entire thread is subject to each person's opinions. No point in arguing about that. You like it or you don't, who cares, at least we aren't driving them.

That center console on the cobalt reminds of a Pontiac Fiero...that boxy...looks like an afterthought radio/climate/vent control hub. They must have pulled up the old drawings and added a few extra rounded edges.
Specifically, look at the Cobalts "stereo" cluster with the cheap plastic push buttons. If you want a better example, compare a Honda Fit to a Chevrolet Aveo. I had to use a rental car agency that only had an Aveo available, HOLY SH*T what a POS!!! Even the E-brake felt like it was going to snap off when I LOOKED at it. Sure its cheaper than a Fit, but DAAAAMN. I think the overall issue here is criticizing Honda Quality without a comparative evaluation. I will take a floppy visor over even having to REMEMBER sitting in that Chevy. Honestly, my co-worker and I were LAUGHING at how terrible it was, acres of "grey" plastic, 1985 era stereo cluster, flimsy steering wheel, basic overall rattletrap quality... Be very thankful Honda doesn't make cars like the Aveo/Cobalt.
