I have a 91 civic sedan and there are two 6.5 speakers in the back under the cardboard part but they rattle against the board when it hits any kind of bass and the trunk spring (long rods) hit the magnets when i close the trunk. I don't want to cut the board and have two big holes, is there any other way for me to do this. Any help greatly appreciated.

Well in my ef sedan I took out the truck springs and cut out some metal and put in 6x9 but the problem with that is that your truck is going to be extra extra heavy

 

iv got 6.5 in the rear with no problem.. older sony xplods the red kind. what speakers do you have?

 

pioneer white cones and they keep hitting the springs or whatever they are called and did u cut holes in the board that lays on top?

 

i forget what i did..lol.. dont think i had to cut anythnig.. and i used the stock covers.
