look through the 1.8 liter build thread

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1263436

not all are poorman type r setups, but there are many in there.

I don't have a dyno chart because I'm at work, but my poorman made 184/135 with ITR cams, valvetrain, pistons, intake manifold, passwordjdm carbon fiber intake (J's Racing knockoff), dc "jdm" 4-1 ceramic header, and a 2.5" kteller exhaust.

thanx for the imput man but without the type-r piston and using the stock gsr short block do you think it would make about 170-180whp. i was thinking about getting a spoon or mugen headgasket do you think it would make similar hp. also do you have a.i.m if so hit me up at ardoch

i was talking to my cousin and he has a 94 ls integra and he just did a poorman type-r swap and he kept his ls tranny. i was wondering do you thik that tranny is that bad for him and do you think the motor will stay in vtec because his redline is set at 8400 and his vtec kicks in at 5500. its not a drag car its his daily driver and a auto-x/roadracing a few times a month. thanx for the responds guys keep them coming

Tell him to junk that LS tranny as fast as he can uninstall it from that car. That is the least desirable of all B-Series trannys out there, because the gear ratios are so long. As a DD it nets good mpg, but thats about it. On the street it will appear slower than it really should be, and on the autocross it will be a salted slug. Worst possible tranny for autocross. For the money, I would get my hands on a Y21 B16 tranny. JDM models come with a built in LSD and a 4.400 final drive . If he is truly ballin though, gotta go with an ITR tranny, LSD and 4.7 final drive. You'll have to tell him to be easy on the throttle or he'll spin all the way through 3rd gear .

he would dump the tranny but he kinda did it on a buget and used the tranny. he's looking for a gsr tranny or a gsr tranny later. all i was wondering is that tranny going to keep his car in vtec when he shifts. anybody on here every use that tranny in a lsvtec or anything?

I had a pretty much oem lsvtec setup..

it was a ls crank
stock ls rods with arp rod bolts
b16 pistons
b16 head milled .036"
itr springs retainers
97 spec JDM ITR cams
AEBS intkake mani
shitty dc sports header
2.5 " custom exhaust

went 13.87 on some worn the expletive out drag radials in my heavy *** coupe

oh yeah I never made it to a dyno but I was on a shitty street tune too. I was guessing somewhere around the 185-190whp mark.

i don't think it would keep it in vtec. there was a car in my area with that tranny on a similar setup and you could hear it fall out of vtec.
