Default 17" rimmer's post pics

I can't decide if I want 16's or 17's. I saw a pic of someone else's 16's on here, and they looked OK. Can anyone post their ride w/ 17" rims please so I can see the difference?

I was going to get 17s but they aren't bad.. Depends if you have an EF (92-95) or EG (96-00) a little bit. I will be getting 16s once i get $$ and find the style I want.

16's are good for performance and they also do look good.

17's are more showy but kind of bog your car down a bit with the extra weight, etc...

Your choice.

fixed

and jit01 what i meant was that most 17's are heavy as stated above and after lowering my car could no longer fit. basically i got 17's because i got a good deal on them and they looked good but when i decided to go for performance they were no longer what i wanted.

)hey 92-95 arent Efs..they are EG civics..EFs are like 91 and below to 88...ek civics are 96-2000...

go with which you think looks better and is more of your style on the wheels...I currently have 15" SSR type x's on my civic with 205/50 of rubber(I think there 15s...maybe 16s..I will have to double check

one more just for show... the inside of my motor

WRONG !!!!!!!!!!-THEY ARE EJ1'S=EX ej2=dx

..EFs are like 91 and below to 88...right!

ek civics are 96-2000...wrong!!!!!!!x2! ek are hatches 96-00, and ej6 i beleive are dx? and ej8 are ex,,, i might be wrong tho it might be 99-00=ej8/96-98=ej6but hands down we all know em1 is the best chasis ftmfw

well if you want to get technical, 88-91 hatches are ed/ef, 88-91 sedans are ef/ed, 88-91 wagons are ee's, coupes 92-00 are ej's, 92-95 hatches are eg/eh, del sols are eg/eh, 96-00 hatches are ej/ek, sedans 92-00 came in eg/eh/ej and the 99-00 si is em1.

it gets kind of complicated, it depends on the trim level/body style/year so to simplify we use this :

88-91 = ef
92-95 = eg
96-00 = ek

and to stay on topic, on ef/eg's i wouldnt go bigger than 15's and on ek's i wouldnt go bigger than 16's. less weight is always better.

heres a crappy picture of my em1 with 17 rims. It's dirty cause I cant even drive it to the car wash . 5 more days and it'll be all back together . Now I have a quick question... I have a socketed obd1 p72 ecu and orderd a chip form xenocron. This will be put in the car while I drive down to xenocron. now when i drive down there should i drive on my stock map sensor or my GM 3 bar? what will be the difference? Can I drive my car for about a week before it's tuned with no harm done to it? Or should I keep my driivng limited before it's tuned and just drive it that day down to New Jersey? Thanks
