what clutch are you running in your 88 si?
I need to find a clutch for my tranny that is capable of holding 250whp. I've only found a couple companies who even make clutches for my tranny.
Id like to keep the 88 tranny in there, but if I have to get something different....I guess I will.
So far this is the winner.
Centerforce Dual Friction.....

gotta link to where you found that?^^^ I am in the same boat in the future. wanting to build an a6 for like 200 whp. I would appreciate it if you tell me where you found that....
The flywheel size is whats really killing your clamp force. If anything try finding yourself a 89-91 si trans and use the 90-91 clutch kit flywheel combo. Much better bang for your buck. 210mm Flywheel hooray! I did the same thing with my old 88 STD, that damn 190mm flywheel just doesn't cut it.

no. The number of teeth on the input spline is different on a 1991 vs a 1988 clutch disk. So your 1991 disk won't work. Also, the 1988 clutch disk is too small to work with the larger 1990-1991 flywheel and pressure plate.

The 88 Si input shaft has 21 splines.....the 89-91 has 20.
I dont really want to change my tranny.....will if I have to I guess, I was just hoping to find some other options.
PS, go to centerforces website for info on that clutch.

you can use one out of a prelude not sure what year but you use only the prelude clutch disc and it works with 90-91 flywheel and pressure plate and your 88 tranny. this was in a post yesterday.
seriously though, We sell the ACTION clutch kits for that application. PM me and let me know what stage you need.
