96 honda accord w/93 JDM H22A idle problem HELP!!!!
Ihave a 96 honda accord with a 93 JDM H22A and my situation is when i come to an stop light the car will idle low then to 1000rpm then back down to like 500rpm and it will keep on idling lower n lower and when the fan kicks on the car will just shut off and i would have to start it right up agian. It mostly does it when im on like hills but latley it is constantly do it and ive tried cleanin the IAC and my throttle body it helped for a bit but then the problem came back agian. Also i have turned my fast idle valve and tightened it and it was an ok help but not enough to solve the problem. My friend told me that i can put like a card or something were the fast idle valve and the throtte body connect, to block off the air and slove my idling problem but i still dont get why, when my fan comes on the car wants to shut off.....is it because i have an low battery??? or a bad altenator???
I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you could have a low battery.
But most likely you have a bad idle air valve or a bad throttle position sensor. You can test each by unplugging it and see if the up and down revs stop. Salvage yards are cheap sources for replacement parts.
Just MAKE SURE you use good gaskets if you repalce something. Otherwise you will just compound the problem.
The next culprit could be the MAP sensor.
Good luck.
