Horn problems
Hey i've been having this problem for quite a while and i havent been able to solve it. Basically everytime I press the horn, it seems like my ignition cuts and my revs drop and then goes back to normal again. If I keep pressing it several times my check light comes on and car runs in limp mode! But when i turn the car off and start up the car again no codes are stored.
Now i have noticed that everytime I press the horn while the car is running my main relay clicks. But when the car is off and I press the horn the main relay does not click. Is the horn causing the main relay to malfunction when i press it? How is the horn related to the main relay?
Im not too good with auto electrical so could someone please help me with this annoying problem.
Thanks

wow...thats weird about your car acting up when pressing the horn...well on mine...i have a detachable steering wheel and my horn works but not at the moment because i dont have a ground to finish the circuit...anyways..if i press my horn, the relay does click..
Yeah its a weird problem alright!!!
My mechanic thinks it's something to do with the wiring for my alarm.
Could a short somewhere cause this? How to i test for a short in the horn circuit?
