crx suspension question

Default crx suspension question

i ordered some kyb gr2's and i did not read the fine print which said 88 crx only,i have a 89 crx and i am curious to know if maybe the struts will fit,i would like to know before i open the box and try to put them on and void the warranty/return

please anybody who knows for sure let me know,thanks alot

the rear lower control arms are different

Yep he is right. The only difference between an 88 and 89-91 is the LCA"lower control arm". You could either try buying a lca or just send the kit back.

That's unfortunate news.
It's annoying that Honda did that, the '90 Si LCA's and the '91 DX LCA's are different too. 91 DX don't connect to the sway bar; so i had mine fabricated so it did.

I have an extra LCA I would sell but I kinda wanted to sell them with the suspension.

dont put 88 control arms on
just send the struts back and get the correct ones.

not worth replacing factory control arms with arguably better factory arms when he can just get the right struts for his car.

the "performance" of the two is exactly the same.

the mount the same way. they have the same dimensions between inner nad outer bushings. no difference other than shock mounting.
